Curious to what most consider an aggressive Boost pedal.. Something that just has that gives you that pissed off factor..

I'd say the SD-1 has it to an extent. Savage Drive does.. Fortin Hexdrive maybe.. What's your go-to to add that punishment to the front end of your gain monster?

The new Lichtlaerm Audio "the King in Yellow" is stupidly aggressive in a great way. My new go to for sure. I blend the Duality DX in with its loop to be extra obscene

You know I agree, this has been my go to since I first tried it. Insane output, huge sweeps in the mini EQ pots which mean you can really shape the signal going into the amp, including the upper mid and high end aggression

Fuzz War slamming a high gain channel. It's chaos but in a good way.

Mesa Boogie Flux 5. Clink Clink Clink all month long.

Boss GE-7. To me a lot of boosts and overdrives actually take aggression AWAY. They add gain sure, but take the snarl away.

For the last while, I've not been using a boost, and my tone has never been better.

The same old Maxon OD808 I've had for about 20 years now. Never found a need to replace it as it does exactly what I want it to do without much coloration. I guess I wouldn't call it really aggressive though.

I'm not up to speed on all the latest pedals but my stock SD-1 is much more pissed off sounding than my TS7. I have a Joyo Ultimate Drive which is kind of like a Fulltone OCD and that is smoother sounding, but since it's a full sound it makes a bright amp like a JCM800 sound extra mean in the low end which I like, but it lacks that hairy pissed off feel the SD-1 does. I would love to try a Boss OD1X next.

Oh, and kind of a different thing, but I have a EH Big Muff "Tone Wicker" which I bought on a whim because I wanted to try out a fuzz. Through a clean-ish amp, there are a few settings on that which certainly qualify as "pissed off," but in a different way than a tight overdrive is.

If I had to pick only one though, SD-1 is the first that comes to my mind for that sound description

I’m running mine in front of my tverb. Gives it extra sauce. As far as more gain…not really. Some…it’s a high grade maxon I think. My riot is the only distortion pedal I own and it definitely will add gain…. I just prefer Wayne’s screamer. I don’t really need more gain with my setup. I’m stereo with the tverb and an ultra plus. She’s thicc sounding.

I’m just glad guys are getting his stuff and word is getting out about him. His stuff is killer. Plus Wayne’s legs go all the way up to dat butt…I have pics also…
