Not sure if i should post here or in the normal discussion but here goes...

I just put a new guitar together and am curious on the opinion of how an Alrdich bridge may sound in a basswood body.. Right now i have one in a Mahogany/Saple Topped guitar and i like it alot but may sell that guitar but am curios if i should try it in my new build.. I am AWFUL at soldering or i would just do it and not ask .. LOL but thought i would seek some expert opinions .... Right now i have an EVOII on there that sounds ok but its black and i would prefer to go with a white pup in my new build which the Aldrich is. I play alot of rock/metal and everything in between...

thanks
dave

I would be careful, if it is a thin-body with the Aldrich. The Aldrich is a great pick-up, very mid and top heavy to punch through with solo's and love them in Les Pauls. With basswood, you need something to make some bottom end. It may not be the most desirable pick-up. Only one way to find out though. Trying to predict these things is a crap shoot at best.
