Almost complete D-moll stack

Today I received Diezel 412 FL V30 box!
Finally there is no compression anymore! The sound is awesome, open and very articulate
I compared it with messa and orange box (all loaded with V30) and guess who's the winner? :-)

I am always freaking out a little when I see huge towers like that and the head balancing on top... for me that's just asking for trouble, all it takes is one drunken, swaying idiot to bump into that!!!


Then again, the Diezel might probably take the fall but what you going to do with the crater it leaves? :lol: :LOL:

well I totally share this freaking out with you :-)
actually we stopped drinking (alcohol) during rehearsal .. we also have falling ban in our practice room :D

and on the stage I allways defending my tower with mine 2m (6,56ft) :D

Which compression were you talking about ?

Did you try also the 4x12 FL with G12K100 before getting this one with V30s ?
I wonder if Dmoll is best sounding with v30s or G12K100...

I talked about compression wich was probably given by the slanted Orange cab.
It was like there were no difference if I played soft or aggresive. Like there were no dynamics.

And I even didn't try Diezel cab with V30 :D :D :D
But I will buy that cab with G12K100 very soon :-)
 
I have a Diezel FL 4x12 that came with 4 G12K100s.
I installed 2 V30s in an X Pattern and I like that even better.
My Mesa Recto 2x12 has 2 V30s and I like that less with the D-Moll.
I think the It's best with a mix. I liked all G12K100s and like all V30s, but the mix is perfect and you can mic one or the other. I do V30 live and G12K for recording.
I am going to try Double Tracking with one track G12K and one V30 and pan that next time.
 
I heard a lot about V30/g100 cabs in x pattern.
but I'm using 2 x 412 combination for years and I like to have V30 on top and G100 on bottom.

btw. I agree that V30 are great for recording :-)

we did it like this with Roland Grapow and Tue Madsen also.
 
Same for me actually, heard only good things about X-pattern V30-K100.
I am sure you guys that have it like this are right, but I fear a little undesirable phasing effect by having 2 different speakers in a same cab.
Could it be so ?? :confused:

If I were to get v30 and K100, I'd rather get 2 separate cabs, and play them together. Actually, this is my plan in the near future.
 
Faxanadu I totaly agree! rather two different cabs then one w/ x-pattern.
