I just placed my order for a Renegade head + a Tourmaster 2x12 cab!

The Renegade is a great amp. Great tones out of that amp.

Yeah man I hope so, the clips on youtube sound fenomenal, and I haven't heard a single person that has played or heard that amp in person saying something bad about it.

I always knew I was gonna own an Egnater amp. I wanted the Mod50, but for 999.99 (799.99 with the 20% off) you can't go wrong! :D :D
 
congrats I just bought an xtc 2008 model,,,,showed up with the 2nd channel not working.
Wish I would have bought the renegade and a Nova System instead. :doh:

sorry to hear that man. But don't give up on it yet, I've heard some really cool things about those amps. I have not played one, and honestly Bogner has never caught my attention, but they sure get a lot of good comments around here.

I'm praying for my Renegade to work flawlessly because I'm getting it shipped to Dominican Republic, so if there's something to fix I'll have to pay shipping again.

I have a good feeling about it though! :rock:

I played one at GC today for the first time. I really liked the vibe on both channels. Through the TM 2x12 it sounded great.!

I think you're gonna be happy.

oh you did? tell me more about it please! I won't be able to play this baby 'till the first or second week of OCTOBER! (that's when I'm getting home)

how are the channels voiced, how can you compare it to the MOD50 you have, etc etc. :)

Well, it's definitely bassman inspired on the clean channel with a hint of vox and deluxe in the background. The drive channel is very reminiscent of the SL2 to my ears, not a dead ringer, but close. I can hear that signature Egnater EG3 thickness in there too. I think the drive channel alone is gonna win over a ton of players once they hear it. In the 30 minutes I spent noodling, I messed around with the tube mixes on each channel and the tight and bright switches and power level switch. It's a pretty versatile head once you get into all those extra controls. Depending on how you set them they can have a very subtle or pronounced effect on the channel. I wish I could have spent more time on it but I had to go. I wanted to hear it thru the 1x12 and 4x12 cabs too. Oh, and the digital reverb is very nice!


I'd say it's as close as you're gonna get to a Mod 50 without buying a Mod 50. It has it's own voice so don't expect it to be a Mod 50 knockoff, but it can get very close to a Mod 50 running a BMan and SL2. Actually I wish the Mod 5o would have the tube mix feature. It would be the Mod 65 then I guess though :lol: :LOL: .

Final answer: It's going to be a hit!


That's a bummer you have to wait to play it but at least you got one on the way...

Welcome to the Egnater fam. I recently bought a M4 preamp and never been
happy. I totally love the EG5 and SL2X module. I guess we have same taste in amps.
From the F-50 brotherhood to Diezel and now Egnater.

hell yeah man! I must say I still love the F-50 although Is sold it, but it was merely to fund the VH4, otherwise it would still be here.

I hope the Renegade will crush my brains out! :D
 
Congrats! Now you are on the path to spending all your hard earned money to try out more Egnater gear.
 
I sold my Randall RM50 to get the Renegade!!! I will have first gig with it on Saturday night and I will give some feed back after that!!
