Am I doing something wrong with the VH4

I am only liking Ch. 3 at the moment. Need more time with it over the weekend but I am not digging the other channels at all :cry:

Any tips on some EQ or something for other channels? Running EL34's in mine atm.
 
How loud do you have it?

Unlike the Herbert, I think the VH4 needs to be cranked a little bit to sound it's best.
 
Yeah I pushed it a little but not too much, I have it at about 9:00 on the MV (maybe not even to that), and the channel volumes are at about 3:00

It's pretty freaken loud at that already, but I still find only Ch. 3 to be good, I much prefer the Herbert, I guess the Herbie has a better MV?
 
It sounds like you just like Herbert better. Try Master 11:00, channel volume 12:00. Also don't forget about ch4 with gain lower than 9:00.

I guess your right, I think I just like more of the sag of the herbert. I'll try it out at that volume, good thing some neighbors are moving out, have been able to crank it a bit lately without any complaints so far :lol: :LOL: This thing is loud as heck though, makes the walls shake!
 
Try turning the Middle Gain down on the channel section......all the way down.
