AM I SILLY TOO RUN MY JCM800 INTO THE EINSTEIN

OK COOL. yep I am a newb here. But i tell ya Diezel is amazing. I gots me a Einstein 100w head running into a Boogie recto 4x12 with V30's.

i've heard and been told (unreliable source though) that this can be done...

So maybe this has been posted bfore, but Is it possible to run say another head 100w like a JCM800 or Soldano SLO thru the effects loop of the Einstein. I have heard you can but never verified the fact. I am looking to try a new approach to using 2 heads at a time than the traditional stereo setup.

I have several heads and why just use one. I know i should just use the Einnie by itself due to the amazing tone, but i want to see put this to rest and i really dont want to blow something up.

Maybe some do's and dont's ??? Volume (master turned to zero or what kindd of load or ohm setting?)

Any info is helpful and Im gonna stick around here if ya don't mind.

Have you considered an amp switcher. Cusom Audio Electronics make a four amp switcher which provides a dummy load, so you can run four heads and one cab.
 
YES I HAVE AN OLD AMPEG AMP SWITCHER LETS ME USE 8 HEADS AND 8 CABINETS, BUT NOT SIMULTANEOUSLY (SP)

I GUESS WHAT I AM TRYING TO ACHIEVE IS RUNNING THE PREAMP OF SAY ANOTHER 100W HEAD THRU THE EFFECTS LOOP OF THE EINSTEIN WITHOUT HAVING TO SWITCH BETWEEN HEAD AND HAVE BOTH OF THEM RUNNING AT THE SAME TIME WHIE GETTING MARSHALL PRE MIXED WITH DIEZEL AND THEN DIEZEL POWER THUMP OUT THE END.

THANKS AND LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS NOT THE SMARTERST THING SO I DDONT GET SMOKE FROM EITHER PIECE OF GEAR.

Amp A needs a line out and should be hooked to a Looper, Amp B (Einstein) has a loop and is also hooked to a load. A load can be a cab or a hotplate. Hotplate has the advantage that it also has a line out, which you could use then.
Loop the line out to the return (serial) of Einstein then.

Or use a Tonebone Headbone, which switches between two amps and one cab.

OK I HAVE A MARSHALL PB100 POWERBRAKE WHICH SHOULD DO THE TRICK I THINK.

SO I SHOULD RUN AMP (A) INTO THE POWERBRAKE THEN RUN THAT INTO THE LOOP OF THE EINSTEIN? THEN HAVE THE EINSTEIN GOING TO THE 4X12?

WHAT I AM TRYING TO ACHIEVE IS TO NOT HAVE TO SWITCH BETWEEN AMP A AND B. BUT TO RUN BOTH WITH MY SAME CABINET (STEREO CAB BOOGIE RECTO 4X12) WHICH I CAN USE AS A BIAMP BY JUST HOOKING BOTH HEADS INTO THE CAB AND USING A PEDAL WITH STEREO OUT . BUT THEN I GET 2X12 FOR EACH AMP NOT FOUR.

SO I REALLY WANT TO RUN AMP A INTO THE EFFECTS LOOP OF B OR AND USE ITS EQ NOT NECESSARILY ITS MASTER VOLUME JUST ITS PREAMP NUANCES TO MAKE AN UBER SOUND,

IS THERE A TERM FOR THIS?? BESIDES MENTAL CLUSTERFUNKING?
