Amazing !

So I went to Mayhem Fest yesterday but before I got there I stopped at a music store. When I went over to where all the better amps are I didn't see too much I cared about playing. Btw I own a mesa mark 4 so it is not often that I find something worth playing especially at GC. Just as I was about to leave in the corner of my I eye I see a Diezel Herbert ! I couldn't believe it. I honestly thought I would never have a chance to play one unless I bought it myself. I asked for a guitar cable and plugged it into an egnater closed back cab ( It's the only thing I could set up without wasting too much time). It had to be the best tone I have ever heard. It sounded so huge. My settings on channel 3 were almost at noon and I had the gain at about 3. I hit one chord and now I know why so many people cant stop talking about these amps. I played it for about 20 mins before I had to leave. I dont think I'll ever be able to forget the tone I heard yesterday. The mid cut was awesome and the deep knob is something I wish my amp had. God willing one day I will own one of these beasts but until that day comes I'll keep remembering how awesome of an amp the Herbert is.

Another convert to a Diezelholic! You have been bitten by the Herbie Virus. Go to out a second mortgage, sell a kidney, run up a Visa card and get one. You won't get any sleep until you do.

Prediction that Dave will own one within the next week :thumbsup:

Get Herbie and be happy. We only live once. I will warn you that once you get one, others will come so plan life to get them all. I myself at one time owned 40 plus high end amps and now I own all the Diezel stuff and only a couple of other amps and I couldn't be happier as a guitar player. :thumbsup:

Love my Herbert, still have yet to play an amp that comes close to it.

Congratulations. Maybe it would be better to offer you my condolences. As long as you don't own a Herbie you will you will not be happy anymore ;)

My first contact with Herbert was similiar. I wanted to test an Engl Powerball (and some other amps) and so I had to drive about 4 hours to a store which had these amps. I took my girlfriend with me. She does not care about amps and had no idea about this amps. The salesman took a few amps to the room where I could test them with my guitars... The first reaction of my girlfriend was like "Don't take Herbert - this one is really ugly". After playing the amps she said something like "OK, it's ugly, but it sounds much better than the others". :)

A few months later I bought my Herbert...

That's why I don't bring my girlfriend in musical stores. I might go out with a daisy rock guitar, who knows :lol: :LOL:
 
Thanks a lot for all the replies guys, especially Peter ! Believe me if I could buy a Herbert today I would but it will not happen for some time. Like I said I will never forget that tone. Seriously the best damn amp I have ever heard. Hopefully one of these days you'll see me post that I bought one. Thanks for taking the time to read something you already knew ! If I'm lucky I might drive over to that GC later this week and play it again. Have a good one !

Same thing happened to me. I cam across two Herberts at a guitar center in Atlanta while traveling. Before I left on my trip, I had bought an ENGL Powerball on ebay. When I got home, I had the Powerball for a week before I sold it and began my quest for a Herbert. 2 Months later, I had a brand new Herbert. :rock:

I'll bump this thing up one last time. I played that same Herbert again except I brought one of my guitar playing friends. Now he cant stop talking about it. Both of us just looked at the amp and could not believe our ears. I mean we've played a bunch of mesa's , couple bogners and have heard some bands use some other high end amps. Nothing compares. Yeah other amps sound good but the feel and the huge sound a Herbert makes blows everyone else away. For the Diezel users on this board, sorry for wasting your time because you guys know what I am talking about already and I've only spent an hour total with the amp. For everyone else do yourself a favor and play one. Thanks again Peter and everyone else for the replies.

Ive said it time and time again, the Herberts the best sounding amp I've heard and the best purchase I've made!! :rock:

I have owned a SLEW of amps........not a Diezel yet.
Thats my ultimate goal...........Herbert.
One day....but not soon enough. :doh:
