Im no tech but im curious if these are easy to fix. Got an amp i like for cheap, damaged in shipping. One knob broken clean off.

Im not afraid to open up the amp and fix it BUT...I dont really want to solder or do anything like that.

Are these an easy swap? Just replace and go? Or is there more to it?

Well an amp builder explained to me the process for these pots and that isn't something im going to mess with. Any idea of cost on something like this?

Desolder pcb then lift out board and resolder? Tbh sounds like I am kind of screwed here.

I think there is a possible fix if you are unable to get the pot. first is to just swap out the wiper shaft. It might be super easy if its a common part. Next is to just replace the pot as mentioned above.

If there is no replacement, you can drill a small hole into the broken part and a small hole into the part broken on the amp. insert a small metal shaft to provide support then use something like JB Weld to glue the parts together. Then shape and pop the knob back on.

If the pot is not attached to the PCB, might be easy fix.

Even if it is, doesn't necessarily mean you have to pull the PCB out to do the job, but if you you do it's a bigger job.
