Amp to go with Herbert = VH4!

I've been looking for a 2nd amp for a while to complement my Herbert. Love the beast and all the features and tone, service, everything is killer. So was thinking of maybe getting something simpler or totally different, but I am so used to the Diezel tone and features now, I just decided to go for the VH-4!!! :rock:

So what am I in store for? How do these machines compare / complement eachother?

I've never tried one in person but the clips are wicked...
 
Well they're similar in some ways.
Herbert has more headroom and is a bit looser.
VH4 is tighter and rawer.
If I were you, I would have both amps with different power tubes.
Eg. VH4 with EL34 and Herb with 6L6

BTW Congrats on the new amp
 
Thanks man, I was thinking about that too. I really like the EL34s in the Herb, but I will def. experiment with tubes. :thumbsup:
