I'm planning to run the M4 into one of my Road King's Loops so that I can switch between the mods and the RK. I'm going to get an RJM RG-16 because they make a cable that will handle all the RK channel/functions in one cable. Now, the Rg-16 has 8 audio loops and 8 control loops. With my RK connected via the 7 pin custom cable and the M4 connected to the RG-16 via midi, will I be able to channel switch the M4 via midi? The reason I ask is that the RK alone has 8 functions. So assuming I assign all the RG-16 control loops to the RK functions, can I still change channels on the M4 by sending the appropriate CC? I'll be using a Ground Control Pro. (I have a GCX Audio Switcher but I'm going to get the RG-16 because of the custom RK cable that RJM makes. Voodoo Labs has no such solution for the RK).

Thanks.

And let me ask another more basic question...

Can I change channels on the M4 with just a Ground Control Pro and GCX Audio Switcher? I assume that I can connect the M4 to the GCX via MIDI and then tell the GCX there is a MIDI device on a given channel called "M4" for example and then, I can create presets on the GCX that would send the corresponding CCs for each channel. Am I getting that right?

Then, I could run standard 1/4" cables from the RKII's external control jacks to loops on the GCX and now I'm switching channels on both preamps from one GCX. Correct?
