Brad (rareguitar) made the trek from RI all the way to Cornwall, ON Canada on Thursday to have his new rig wired up. I gigged on Thursday night at a big outdoor festival and Brad was super kind and helped me out with some lifting.
We started the rig at 8:30am Fri and finished around midnight with an hour break for dinner.
In the rack he has a Furman power conditioner, Decimator ProRack G, TC G-Major, a GCX Switcher and a pedal tray that contains a MXR Zakk O/D, MXR EVH Phase 90, MXR EVH Flanger, Psionic Lumos, and a Suhr MiniMix.
The pedalboard has a Zakk Wah, an EB 25k Vol pedal, Ground Control Pro, and a Peterson Strobostomp. We used Mogami cable and Neutrik ends, everything on the tray was secured with 3m Dual Lok.
I had a blast putting this together and the end result was better than expected. It just dripped of tone, it was like the strings were going to fly off the guitar and the amp was going to explode(in a good way!).
It was a real pleasure working with Brad and he is a 100% gentleman and good guy.
The video does not do the actual tone justice but gives a little idea what was going on.
The comment about the tone sucking Pedalsnake was pure sarcasm...the thing sounds just fine with no noticeable tone loss to my ears and makes for a great easy to setup little system.
