As requested: More gain, more saturation. Excuse the shite playing. :)

Shit man, channel 3 is to die for on the VH4. I can't get that sound out of my head since I played one, and it was over a year ago! Nice tones and playing.

Thanks for listening! I consider Channel 3 of the VH4 to be an iconic guitar tone. It's definitely unique and ballsy.

You play pretty alright to me. You seem to do something wrong with that chaga-cahge on the low string. How do you hold your pick?

Can you be more specific? I hold my pick like every other person does I guess. I never said I was an amazing guitarists or anything.  This particular guitar also doesn't sound the greatest... I think I paid $400 for it, new... it plays pretty god-damn awful actually. It's probably my fault, though.

Is it the same on my other clip?

Try hitting that low string with pick under an angle, to get some good chug with harmonically rich body & attack out of it. You might need a thicker pick, don't know the size you use. And while you on it experiment with palm muting in different areas.

Don't know what you have going on in your head, you might have been criticized too much as a kid, your playing definitely doesn't suck. Not all of us have to be a Malmsteen.

"Don't know what you have going on in your head..." eh?

My problem on that Jackson, is that if I put my palm as far to the right, against the bridge, as I can... the pick will lie just over the neck pickup since my hands are so large. If I move my palm any further up toward the neck, the pick will literally be on the neck-side edge of the neck pickup. By "pick under and angle" do you mean with the edge of the pick rather than the face of it?

Nice one dude!!
Can you post your settings?

Thanks!

I don't really know the settings I as using. I started out with everything at noon and tweaked during the video. Master was at 8:00.

Yea. Try to start to pluck with the edge first & then kinda hitting the whole thing.
