Maybe I don't like Gibson guitars that much, but I really dig their pickups :)

1st - Well, I'm looking for a floyded guitar to add to my collection, which is either going to be ESP Horizon or a Floyded LP, might even be a Gibson Axcess, if I can find one that plays the way I like. So I'm going to need a set of pickups for this guitar too.

2nd - I'm more & more starting to dislike Duncan pickups. They are not bad, but it seems to me like they ruin the sound of the guitar, wherever you put them it sound like Duncan & not like a guitar.

3rd - EMG81 are starting to piss me off & they need to go first. I'm going to give them one last chance in a couple of days, but I'm pretty sure they are on the way out. It's pretty sad that this is my favorite playing guitar & I barely touch it because of the EMGs.

4th - I've gone deep into totally brutal metal sound, it doesn't look like it's about to change any time soon.

With that in mind & that 490R & 498T are my favorite pickups with any amp I have ( mostly because they let the guitar come through & sound like a guitar & not like a pickup), please advice me

1 - a set of pickups to replace my EMGs - my initial thought is BN Painkiller bridge, 490R neck.
2 - Duncan Custom is about to leave too, again will be testing it for one last time, but ... a replacement, please
3 - a set for my new floyded guitar, for CAC*** tuning or a step up

Hmm why don't you just walk in some guitar shops and try some guitars? Do you buy your guitars because you`ve read something good about them? Or because of the look?  I always buy guitars which I played with my own hands and which sound good to my ears. And when they sound good, there`s no need to change the pickups

I forgot: active Pickups are the crappiest thing I´ve EVER played. They kill dynamic. The only positve thing about them is that even the cheapest guitar will sound bigger with them... But no better  (Steve Lukather has active Picups, his sound is great, but I don`t like them anyway) :D

Thanks, that was very helpful.
Other than LP Customs I haven't yet played one guitar in stock configuration that I wouldn't modify.

Painkiller's rock, bomb's rock A and C versions, Warpigs are cool if you want to just go nuckin' fut's with the compressed metal thing, probably a good thing for a really low tuned guitar to keep it tight.

If you value your cleans I would go alnico nailbomb, the others still have a nice clean but not as bouncy.

Cold Sweat would be a good choice for the neck, that's what I'm going to do with mine.

You should get some Motorcity pickups and let me know how it goes, haha.

Suhr pickups actually rock for the metal thing too, they're TIGHT, if you don't like the mids they could be a little honky. I actually loved the DSH, bass isn't the greatest, but hey you own Diezels, it's about 13k and clear as a bell, others like the Aldrich, I've actually thought about going back to a DSH, DSH+ is just a hotter version, very similar, if you need more bass kick it would be nice.

Anderson pickups are nice for DA METULZ from an HN2+ on up.

Anderson H2+ or H3

Suhr Aldrich

the H2+ is by far my favorite pickup, the H3 is a little hotter and maybe better for drop tune.

the Aldrich is kickass also, it's like a way way better JB to me.
