They were showing it (in a cute 1sp wood rack that matches the Egnater color scheme).

Bruce said he either had just done or was about to do (sorry I forget which)
one more tweak before going to production, so he expects it to ship in the next 2 months or so.

Yes, they discovered an issue with it at NAMM. It was being shown only at the show, not demo'd.

If you use this thing in an effects loop that has other effects in it, how would you set it up with those other effects? Does it have its own effects loop?

I don't quite get the "signal chain" thing on this. Anyone care to enlighten?

Signal chain for ANY amp that has a true series effects loop...if you want to use effects...and your amp's preamp..will be:

Guitar -> Pedals (wahs, any pre-preamp pedals) -> E2 Guitar input -> E2 Preamp Send -> ANY HEAD Input ->ANY HEAD Series Effects loop Send -> E2 Preamp Return -> E2 Output -> POST PREAMP Effects (rack processors, any pedal that can do line level) Input -> POST PREAMP effects output -> ANY HEAD Series Effects Loop Return -> Speaker out to speaker.

So.. The E2 has a switcher that will either bypass the Head's preamp if you want to use the E2's modules or vice versa. Make sense?

the final "out" on the E2 .........AND...............the FX return jack.

guitar plugs into the E2. E2 has an out for the other preamp. Other preamp out goes into a return jack on E2.
