Hi!
can anybody tell me his experience with Diezel Amps and CAA 2x12 cabs.
I think this cabs are popular in the USA.

Thank you

Rolf

I run a Herbert w/ mine, but mostly in tandem with a 4-12 cab. A 3/4 stack. Originally had vin. 30's in mine, but switched one for a g12H30 and I like it a lot better. The speaker change took away some of the harsh vin.30 high end. The cab is Loud, and punchy. I am generally not a 2-12 guy, but I do like this cab and use it often.

I have a 1x12 CAA and I love it. Also wondering about the 2x12...

Off subject of the CAA 2x12 but. . . .I use a Eminence Delta Pro 12A 1x12 and it flat out SMOKES. It's emineces version of EVM 12L, once it's broke it's one of the best single 12" I have come across. I also use them in a home made 2x12 Diezel copy cab [closed back (3/4" 15 ply blatic birch)]. Everybody say's it a "sleeper" speaker, which I have to agree. Very, Very Smooth yet still has that cut and good highend and they ALWAYS have enough bass/mids. I HATE v30's :gethim: , I'm not a fan of the up mid fizzly. Well at least in 2x12 or 1x12. They might  with a 4x12 but other wise they are very fizzy/buzzy in 2x12 &1x12 to me. I will be getting a pair of celestions g12-65 soon, as the Delta's and VERY heavy. I'm hoping this will be the anwser to my speaker quest. BTW I use's the Delta with lots of amps for MANY different style (Dr Z 6545, Boogie MK 3 & 4, Dumble clone and a Soldano Hot Rod 50) and it seems to flex to the amps ability and the style you are playing. Can't praise these enough, mine are VERY broke it so that could account for some of "extra" magic sparkle these seem to have.

Thanks guys for your infos!

I run my Schmidt with a marshall greenback 4x12 or a H&K with 4x12 and Greenbacks. And the sound is good.

The last time I run an old 4x12 H&K with vintage 30 with my band.

At the begining I had my mids on 3 o clock like with the greenbacks. But it sounds to brutal with the vintage 30.

Then I turned it to 12 o clock and it soundded nearly perfect.

But i am just looking for a small and light 2x12 cab but with enough bass and mids for hardrock and

I think the CAA could be that thing I am searching knowing 2 vintage 30 will have a different sound than 4.

The problem is you can never compare different 2x12 caba because they haven´t the cabs together in the shops.

Therefore I need your help to find out if its perhaps the rigth cab.

So long Rolf

2-12's always sound different than 4. The CAA cab has more low end and a more focused mids than any of the 2-12's ive tried (granted most ive tried have been more vintage styled, rear loaded, not as deep etc...

I think most modern closed back cabs will make you happy. As they are deeper and stronger than older ones. That along with the speakers of your choice. Me. . . . . Front Load Delta Pro 12A :D
I'm a newby on the forum, but I will post some sound/vid clips as soon as I can.

vht 2x12 are really good cabs too. Tight and focused. Front loaded.

you cant go wrong with any of the best 2x12 out there, be it CAA, Bogner or Diezel for that matter...

Thanks guys.

A last question: Are there any cons because the CAA cab is so small and light and there are 4 reflexpipes in it.

I think most of the other cabs don´t have a reflexsystem are bigger and more weight.

So long

Rolf
