Unloaded it seems like a great deal, but I've read some guys say it doesn't come close to a Bogner OS.

Any recent experiences? Thx,

I have one in my studio a guy uses 60's blackface/silver Bassmans through (2 x12 open back with greenbacks)..... Sounds awesome to me. Shimmering cleans, and growls when those fenders push it.

Are there better cabs than the Avatar ? .. IMO Yes, but its one hell of a bang for the buck that sounds great ... GO FOR IT !

Cool! I'm also interested in Mather, Stone Age and Petersen Cabs. I like OS 2x12's.

My brother has a 2x12 with V30's in it, sounds great, seems to be built solid.

Well, I'm now looking at Mojotone and Petersen amps. Avatar is still in the running, but I think the others have a higher quality to them, which you will pay for. Gotta keep researching

I use one frequently. I often switch between Lynchbacks and V30s. Sounds great with either. Tends to "fart out" a little like older Marshall cabs when pushed but still sounds good enough to keep using.

They're great cabinets. I've got one I'll sell empty if you decide to go that route.

I don't have any experience with the Vintage 212, but I love my Traditional 212. Great bang for the buck.

I'm now gonna look at Mojotone Bluesbreaker as well. That cab has some weight to it, like the Bogner.

Has anyone every run their cab vertically? Also, anyone have a convertible back? I'm a convert to semi-open backs on the stages I play. Much more open and less directional.

Vertical is really the way to go man.

Convertible back is a huge plus.

More props to the Traditional Avatar 212.

Maybe add Splawn, White Box, Port City etc to your list. I sold my Avatar cab to get the Splawn cab :D
