So I picked up a 1960A cab today from a local guy and we got to chatting about amps ( as gear nerds always do). He had me check out his Ampeg V5 with HotMod into an Ampeg 4x12 with original G12-65's in it. The tone on that beast! Totally killer. My understanding is that this line V5,V7, and then renamed SVT were essentially JCM800 copies with some big iron. Any of you have one of these? They don't seem to come up often and like many other amps of that era, have started seeing a swing up in price when they do.
