How long did it take to get it? I have one ordered and quoted lead time was about 4 months.

Hey kurtstuff, how does the CCV compare to a splawn? I've got a competition that I love, but the Cameron sounds like it's much nastier...

Hey kurtstuff, how does the CCV compare to a splawn? I've got a competition that I love, but the Cameron sounds like it's much nastier...
Two different animals and no comparison at all...Really all I can say

Okay. Is it safe to say its like comparing apples and oranges? For me my splawn does the hotrodded marshall/evh tone really well. From what I've heard via clips, the Cameron is more metal/aggressive sounding. I ordered the CCM to do heavier stuff that the splawn may not be able to cover. I don't think I'd ever sell my Competition, I wanted something to contrast it. What do you think?

Here is the deal-
My bandmate has used it at a few of our rehearsals and is going back to his 5153. It sounds good but he prefers the 5153 and his Cameron modded Marshall superbass. Maybe he will send it back for some mods but it did not make him fall in love. I agree, his other rigs sound better. No, I did not order one- still real happy with my Elmwood 90 and Suhr OD100 SEplus, I also have a modded Roccaforte HG100 incoming that Doug modded to my tastes so those amps along with my Two Rocks and Marshall will keep me happy for now.
