Any of you goons ever use a Tubescreamer with a Marshall Silver Jubillee?

I've been boosting with a Keeley SD-1 clone and the Griffin "Boris" but wondering what a Tubscreamer type vibe does differently than an SD-1 or similar?

People seem to like nearly any type of boost with a Jubillee but was just curious.

I would try a Zen Drive ..... Greer Lightspeed .... or Bad Monkey ( basically a TS-9 with a Bass control )

TS-9's are too smooth for that amp. Try the MXR GT-OD. It's got the TS9 hump, but has a bit of grit. That's what I used with my 2525H Studio head. I also ran an Exotic EP Booster after it. Really made it fat and punchy.

I agree, IME TS’s are too smooth for an amp that is already smoother than I’d like vs the Marshall models that came before it. I liked them best with a Klon, but same can be said about what I like best with 99% of amps as a boost

A TS9 into a 1988 2550 was my main rig for several years. It was one of the black and gold models that they made with leftover parts. Wish I still had that amp.
They made those for the year 1988.....It was a roll over amp from the original 1987 2550. The Black & Gold was the final revision of the Jubilee. There were 3 revisions.....even the 2555SL from 1996 was based off the black & gold that slash owned.

OD1X. Doesn't rob lows, is quiet and does the same job as the previous way I boosted my Jubilees; which was to double boost with a Joyo Ultimate Drive and a Dano Fish n Chips EQ pedal.
