Hey everyone,

So any of you guys use your egnater with another amp, a/b or at the same time? Anyone use 2 mod heads?

I currently have a mesa boogie dual rectifier, but I'm getting closer and closer to calling the amp lounge and getting my spot on the list.

Ideally in 3-4 months from now (ie after the wait list) I can afford to buy the egnater AND keep the recto, as I was thinking it'd be cool to try that whole 2 amp/stereo rig, even if just for a short while. The recto has a lot of low end, so I was thinking for a gain sound combining that and something more marshall flavor in the egnater (something with more mids, less gain maybe) would sound really good together.

What I plan on doing is probably ordering a MOD 50 with something like a Bman, an SL2 and a Eg5 or erect, and then comparing the eg5/erect to the recto I have. If the erect/eg5 does the same thing or blows the recto away, I'll probably sell the recto and save the cash for more modules down the line... or an eg2! If I still like the recto more, or really like how they work together, I'd try and keep both. Any thoughts on that?

Oh yeah, feel free to post pictures, clips, and/or videos!

In my rack I also have a Triaxis and Peavey Rockmaster. The RockMaster pretty much never gets used anymore and I may sell it soon. I still have the Triaxis for my cleans and for the MKII/IV lead sounds. In my M4 I have EG5, SL2, MHG and ERect so no clean module. I did have the TD which was great but the Triaxis cleans were good enough that I could fill the M4 with dirty tones.

My ultimate goal will be to have two M4's and add in BMan, Vox, possibly the "gainier" COD when it is done and hopefully Eggie's version of the Mesa MKIV. Then I could ditch the Triaxis.

Running a guitar rig in stereo is a very cool way to go if you
have time before the gig to dial it in....You'll get alot bigger tone,
and if the place your playing has the room, will allow you to get
those cabinets away from being next to each other and get alot
more seperation.....As far as the amps go, I've heard killer stereo
rigs with Mesas, Fenders and I have a good friend that runs 2
50 watt Marshalls in stereo and it'll peel paint in the room......

Ah...he meant running two separate amps for a stereo effect. I thought he meant multiple preamps. Sorry, my bad.
Carry on.

John C runs a stereo rig with 2 Mod 50's using a switchblade signal router. His tone is great and he has a large pallet of sounds available. I would definitely pick his brain.
I have been running a MOD100 along with a RM100 and have had excellent results. I have been using a switchblade (borrowed unfortunately) and have been really digging the results. I was running thru an a/b switcher for a while with good results as well.

Honestly though, the Eggie's are so good, you won't want to keep the other amp :D
