Any Wizard amp fans? Getting those tones with Egnater?

Man, I love the clips I am hearing of Wizard amps...both the Vintage Classic and Modern Classic. I am trying to get this tone with my Mod 50 and I think I have gotten close with the EG3/4X and with the Sl2. Anyone hear these things and have a thought on which module might be best?

I don't know rich.I've played both those amps and they are pretty bad ass but I don't think any module truly captures THAT tone,but I would say the SL2X and the Mod 100 were closest.YMMV

They are sick! I think the the SL2 would be closer since the Wizards seem really warm and I don't find the SL2X warm.

Wizards are so expensive though! Sweet amps though.

One of the few amps I have heard that has me thinking of selling my VHT nd Egnater to get one. This and a Bogner and I could be done.

LOL! That guy was not using Scumbacks. Anyway a friend of mine has Scummies at his shop in Philly. I tried them and liked them....but not enough more than my Celestion to buy them.

Anyway, you comment about me not beaing able to afford Scummies. You are right! I can't at the moment. My point about the Wizard was to SELL my Egnater and VHT to afford the Wizard.

I know, I'd have to save a lot! More I think about it and talking to a friend....amps that cost that much are just not worth it. I mean a friend of mine has an 80s JCM 800 and late 60s Plexi and both sound brilliant. Both were less than a Wizard and Bogner.

Rich as silly as this sounds have you considered Axe Fx .
that will allow you to make all these changes have approximation of all your tones .In worst case scenario just use it as an fx unit

I second that remark!!! I call bullshit too! Right after you do that rich...you'll be saying your EG34X sounded better...and wish you wouldn't have sold your Eggie gear!

Yeah I havent even gotten my new amp yet and Im trying to find stuff to sell to get another one. Already got Levant samples from Mojo for a custom vintage 412 cab to match.

Excellent! I love it. Records very well and sounds great as a preamp thru power amp and speakers. The reamping feature is sweet as well. I've had mine since they first were available @ Sweetwater. I've had time to really dial it in and I love the results.
