Any worship guys playing Egnater's?

We recently picked up a Rebel 20 as a house amp which runs direct and was my first exposure to Egnater. The amp is used by our rotating rhythm electric player. Lead electric uses a full rack rig.

As a worship leader I've found I just needed the basics for elctric tone since I play with as many as 4 guitars on stage at a time - leave the complicated stuff to the ensemble players. Well I have recently started playing as an ensemble player myself and am discovering the need for tone...as a result I have been in pursuit of a complete rack rig to replace my Line6 Pod XT Live (my sole source for tone over the last 5 years).

I am curious to know if any of you are using the M4 Preamp and if so what Modules you are using?

I've settled on...

Mesa Boogie 20/20 Power Amp
Egnater M4 Preamp with the BMAN and VX Modules (other two mods T.B.D.)
TC Electronics G-System Pedal Board
BBE 882i Sonic Maximizer (this might now make the final cut but I am going to give it a shot)
Hughes & Kettner Red Box Classic DI
SKB Rolling 6U Case
Egnater Rebel 112x Cabinet - for practicing at home (will run direct for gigs)

I am playing in three band right now, two of which I lead, and have a solo project in post production. Needless to say I can't wait to get this all set up and running. The last piece was the M4 and I am placing the order for it tomorrow.

Cheers,

Josh

Definitely!

My rig is a Mod50. My Modules include the T/D, COD, VX, and EG5. Right now I have the VX and the COD in my head. It takes me from bouncy shimmering clean, all the way to wonderful smooth liquid solo gain in the COD. This combination is probably the most versatile for the stuff we play. I had been using the EG5 for a while, but decided the VX had good enough med-high gain to fit, and the COD B channel is the BEST lead tone I have ever had. I'll be curious to know how your rig comes together.

Mods - this thread is a duplicate - my bad! I got an error message saying it failed when I tried to post it the first time.

4 guitars on stage at once ? That should be enough.

Yeah I know that seems crazy for a typical band setting but ...

We had 5 at rehearsal last night (which is all of our guitar players) and everyone was playing something different...it sounded aswesome. Two different lead players at the same time playing in different positions. That was the first time I ever played with that many guitars at once. If everyone knows how to play at least at an intermediate level and can play in a band/ensemble setting (listening to others) then it can work. We also had three drummers and three bass players but they rotate in and out through rehearsal so that we do each song three times.

Typical Sunday service is 2 electrics (one of which is true lead player, one drive rhythm) and two acoustics (one usually capo'd and one not). Everyone playing at different positions, capo's etc.

We do stuff like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UevY_ZhdV90

My band (8 people total) only has two guitar players right now (plus bass, drums, keys, flute & multiple vocals) and we are looking for a lead player. I think three guitars is perfect - acoustic rhythm, electric drive, electric lead.

Here is a clip of me leading a youth band (all high school kids so it's a little rough but lots-o-fun) with a three guitar/bass/drums/keys set up...

Now that really is a miracle!! LOL!! I can't get the other guitar player in my band to play something different from me. Five? Maybe five kazoo players.

The facebook link is blocked / privacy or removed it said. Is the youtube videos your band ?

I have been at jams and open mikes with that many guitar player. But never did a performance with something like that. I like having a few percussion people going.

And I always thought, Egnater players had only one god, and his name is: Bruce
;)
