Does thing thing punch like a traditional larger power amp? All these class D don't seem to have the punch excursion for some reason, is it the lack of big iron transformers? Just curious.... it sounds good but he is using the Stealth for the center dry cabinet which is where the punch is coming from.

Price isn't bad at all.............I know some people were looking for compact pedal amps and these would fit the bill, he has the small compact and a one space rack unit. $449 for the 8"x5"x2" compact box and $499 for the 1 space rack unit.

I don't think you're going to get that punch from class-d solid state; they're designed for clean power which is fine for Wet in a WDW rig IMO.

it's one reason I keep my Engl E850/100 dual 100W 6L6GC power amp for guitar.

also, I have an ISP Stealth Pro solid state power amp, I use into a guitar cab (Mesa compact 2x12 with V30) and my ISP Theta Pro DSP Michael Sweet, and all the punch and dirt are coming from the Theta Pro DSP - it's preamp distortion, like the old rack units using solid state power amps...

Back in the day, before I got the complete ADA bass rig, I ran my MB-1 into a Crown power amp, a Mesa 4x12, and Cerwin-Vega 1x18 folded horn...it was thunderous and clean, but a pain to schlep around. The Cerwin-Vega had a built in hand truck, and everyone hated moving it, including me.

I have one sitting at UPS to pick up. I was out of town and unfortunately they’re closed today. I bought one just because it’s a mosfet SS power amp that I thought would be good for WDW.

I had one I used in a wdw setup. For that application it worked well. If you are going straight in it won’t have the same punch as a tube power amp.

I figured that.........:( but I liked that fact it was MOSFET.

Maybe he can scale it up to a 500 800 watt stereo power amp with real deal transformers akin to a H&H V800 and really have something cool with some real punch to it......:yes:My Matrix also kinda suffers from the lack of punch factor but my Peavey CS800 with big iron punches hard and clean.:2thumbsup:

Jens is easy to deal with, shoot him a message!

Just hooked mine up. Doesn’t work. Powers on, but doesn’t amp any sound. We’ll see what Jens says.

Jens sent me a replacement for the one that arrived DOA. Sounds great for W/D/W. As good as the old Matrix amps I used to have.
At least he made good on the deal and got you a working amp!

Do you think it pushes as hard as a Matrix GT1000FX which was rated alot more wattage than 120 watts per channel.

Matrix GT1000FX

Watts per channel @ 4 ohm500w RMS
Watts per channel @ 8 ohm325w RMS
Watts per channel @ 16 ohm150w RMS
Bridged mode @ 8 ohm1000w RMS

He handled the situation great. Couldn’t ask for better service in that type of situation.

For the volumes I play at, which is pretty loud, I don’t find it lacking. I never push the Matrix to the max so I couldn’t say how they’d compare
