Anybody use kt 77 's in twin jet? Thoughts?

Just as the title says. Im interested in hearing some thoughts in regards to using kt77's in a twin jet. I dig the kt88's but the mid range seems a bit flat and the highs are a bit brittle... and Im not quite sure but also seems to have less big bottom end compared to other revisions of the uber. I dont know if its because it is more focused or what. but anyways would like to hear some thoughts. Thanks
 
I tried Gold Lion KT77s in there. It was pretty cool, the highs were less jagged but I felt the bottom end was somewhat stiff. I eventually sold them. I know glip22 really liked KT77s in his Twin Jet.

When you say somewhat stiff is that in comparison to el34's or kt88's? Because the kt88's are pretty tight themselves. I was hoping to hit somewhere in between an el34 and a kt88. Am I off base in this thought?

When I say stiff I mean that they were not very sensitive tubes and as a result the bottom end felt weird. After all is said and done I really think KT88s and 6550s are best in this amp.

I re-tubed my Twin Jet with Genalex Gold Lion Reissue KT88 tubes and LOVE them!
 
I'm not a big fan of the Sovteks. Kind of muddy. I'd really like to try some new ones someday.
 
Just got my Gold Lions kt88's. Loaded them up and cant get enough M/A;s running through them with the external bias adjustment. Does the twin jet have a traditional bias adjustment in the chassis can ad more current to the external bias ? Btw Im getting only 22 ma maxed out on the external bias. Any help would me much appreciated
