I play a lot of post rock now, and I like ridiculous cabs. I also happen to kind of need a bass cab anyways (for actual bass playing)

SWR Big Bertha 2x15 is avalable locally for $225. do it?

That's a great price.

I have a vintage Fender 2x15 Bandmaster (???) cab that I "acquired".

(My first girlfriend ever in high school... her dad let me borrow it. We broke up, and I "forgot" to give it back, and he never came looking for it...)

Sounds killer on bass. Never tried it with my Eggy. It's a 4 Ohm cab, can the Mod50 handle that?

Doesn't it have a switch??

It's an easy rewire job if the Mod50 doesn't have a switch.

Aren't all Bandmaster cabs 2x12? I have a 65 and it is enormous, but the speakers are definitely 12". I played my Mod 50 head through it for a few weeks before I picked up an Eggie 212 and it sounded fine - you just have to make sure you set the switch in the back to 4 ohms.

I don't know what the heck it is... all I know is that it's about the size of a small refrigerator, and it's 2x15!
