I'm curious how you wire it up. How would I set it up if I wanted some effects in between the guitar and amp, and others in the effects loop?

Also- I assume that you would put things like compressors and EQ's in between the guitar and the amp, while things like reverbs and delays would go in the loop?

Thanks!

Yep you got it. Use the 4 cable method and in the menu somewhere set it up for delay verbs etc in the loop and od comps etc in front. I sold mine a while ago  but really liked that unit and would have kept it if it was more flexible.

Thanks- But which ones go where? There is two sets of inputs and outputs. Which ones for the guitar and which ones for the loop?

Thanks!

Hey Len,

The guitar goes into the input, the insert send goes to the front of the amp. The amp's send comes back to the M13's insert return and the M13 out goes back to the amp's loop return. You use the M13 under DSP bypass and tell it what banks head out via the insert send. believe you can choose to split it anywhere in the 4 effect blocks.

 Yep
Sorry was at Ren Fair drinking all day having a blast.  :cheers2:

As described above, the beauty of the M13 is that you can insert the loop anywhere you want, so you can have 1 pre pedal and 3 loop pedals, or 2 x 2, or 3 pre and 1 post. Highly configurable. I rehearsed with it like that last week with my Mark V combo and it sounded great. Problem is the MIDI implementation on the unit leaves a slight bit to be desired regarding what can and cannot be controlled, and how it works. Other than that, top-shelf gear that.

Cheers,

I use the M13 with a MOD50 and really like it - but I did have to add an Ebtech line shifter. Here's a post I did a long time back about a custom snake and hookups to the M13 - at the bottom I answer a question about the Ebtech. Hope this helps.

I got one from GC today came home and powered it up and no sound? I tried a pedal and no problem but with the M13 sound was super super low?

Ok returned it and same problem WTF am I doing wrong? Should I just get two boss delays and pedals? Eventide?

I plug into the return and send. No good. Use my pedal all good.

I got it working. Thanks. After playing with it... I actually prefer my pedals though.
