Particularly, the 170. Is it loud enough for a loud metal scenario? Does it sound good?

Looking for something to add for a pedalboard built around my Helix for live use. Wondering if the Duncan stuff is any good.

Thanks!

Sounds good and is loud as fuck. I never got it past 3 with an Ax8 through a 2x12

I had the 200 .... I felt a bit underwhelmed with it honestly but I play loud as hell and have a lot of low end in my sound so that Def eats up alot of headroom. If your going to be mic'd up and have monitors I'd say absolutely. If not I think it will depend on how loud you like it.

For me playing in a hardcore band with loud as hell bassist with a fridge type of setup. Loud drummer, 2 loud vocalists and loud rhythm guitar player..... forget it lol

I’m using a 170 with a 2x12 for my FM9 rig, I’ve only had the chance to use it at band practice volume once but I didn’t even have the thing turned halfway up. That cab uses two WGS Retro 30’s but I’m really anxious to bring my old Mesa 2x12 that’s got two Black Shadows in it, I’m curious how it sounds a full blast with those bastards.

The 3-band EQ is handy, too. There’s 3 easily accessible Global EQ’s in the FM9 but I haven’t even bothered using them thanks to that 3-band.

it's loud enough but i didn't like how it sounded at all. there was always a harshness i couldn't dial away. i was using an fm3 and hx stomp with it and had no issues with other poweramps i was using but wanted something i could mount on a pedalboard.

Thank you all for the input. Lots of mixed reviews, LOL.
