Anyone care to give advice on my Mod 50 rig?

Through the years I've accumulated a lot of gear. I'm thinking of building up a rig based around the Mod 50 with all the bells and whistles, here's what I'm planning....

on the floor

CAE RS 10 midi controller
tuner
wah
volume pedal (in the serial loop of the amp)

and in a rack

2) Axess GRX4 midi loopers
2) Pedal Power 2 and various AC adaptors where needed.

KR Mega Vibe
KR The Fuzz
(old) MXR 10 band EQ
Tone Freak Naked OD (boost)
Arion SCH-1
Voodoo Labs Tremolo

my rack processor is a TC M-1 (to use in loop 4 of one of the GRX's)
I also have an Eventide Pitchfactor I could use in the other #4 loop.

For modules I have a Bassman and a GnR.

Am I on the right track? What other options should I consider?

Since I am a tuner and a delay guy I can't really give you any advice but it looks like a mildly confusing rig! :D

wow, thanks for all the help

Looks pretty killer to me man. Try a EH Small Stone phaser, a FoxRox Octron, Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive, Voodoo Lab Microvibe, and a BB preamp...that's what I'd add ;)

Those are all my favorite pedals. I have them on my board, and have not found anything that sounds better than any of them...but I'm biased.

BMAN / GNR...great combo man!!!

Looks like you know what you want to do. Looks to be a nice rig. The loopers are the way to go IMO and put the pedals in the rack.

Let us know how it turns out.

The only thing I'd add is an M4 running of the MOD50's power section :D

i'd utilize one of the send/returns in the grx4 for the wah.. you can save running alot of unbuffered cable doing that, or pick up a buffer/splitter for your board to split the signal to the tuner, and the wah, then it doesn't matter much about using the extra loop.

i modded my grx4 to act as a volume cut / boost when the 4th loop was engaged, thats a nice option when you can't cut or boost your leads. other than that, can't really go wrong with a few good pedals in front, and something for delays & reverbs in the loop.

Maybe you should grab a Suhr Minimix 2 and put the Pichfactor and M-One in parallel. You can bypass both engines on the TC and the Eventide with CC's, it'd save loops on the GRX-4s. You can use a 4th loop on a GRX as a relay to switch the dry path (it's switchable on the Minimix 2 right ?) on the mixer.
Just my 2cts though.
