Anyone else dealt with ups straight up lying

I’ve had a amp delayed over a week now . Ordered it on dec 20 from guitar center online . It’s been in my area at ups for a week . Was suppose to be delivered Twice both days nothing . 3 rd day out for delivery they said they made an attempt when I was at my house . A ups truck never even pulled down my street . “ dead end” . It’s getting to a point of becoming really frustrated......

Make guitar center deal with it. They have a business account
 
I have to get ahold of gc for them to release it for myself to be able to even pick it up at a ups location . Such a headache .
 
I have a pair of tubes that made it to Massachusetts, (I'm in Florida), 12/23, and as of today, it still shows sitting there. This is USPS, however.

Do you get a tracking number from GC? If so, you should be able to call UPS and have them "hold at location" yourself...In fact GC has always given me a tracking number since I always pick it up at the hub. No reason GC shouldn't give you the tracking.
 
I have a pedal that was ordered on 12.19 from 45 miles away that still hasn’t arrived. I was told after 2 weeks Reverb will refund me my money. After that I hope the pedal arrives. ?
 
Shipping with any carrier in North America appears to be a complete cluster-fuk right now.

Everyone is swamped with packages and has no staff...I get it.... but there's some strange shit going on...
I had a package ship from PA ( Valvestorm ) on DEC 5.
Crickets for 3 1/2 weeks until it shows up in tracking in MIAMI on Dec 27.
I'm in Toronto, Canada!!! WTF is my shit doing going from PA to fukking MIAMI?????
I give up!!! :doh::doh::doh:

At this point, I'll be happy just to receive it sometime in 2021, and hope doesn't get lost somewhere....
 
I have been struggling with USPS recently, but was hoping UPS was a bit better. Guess not. It sure makes repairs go slow when you have to wait a month for parts.
 
Had those problems with all 3 major shipping companies in the recent weeks. They're most likely understaffed/underpaid.
 
I have GC ship to their store and I go pick it up. Seems to go smoother that way...
 
It appears that all major carriers at this point are overloaded. It seems criminal that they will still offer faster shipping options (at an increased price) knowing that they cannot fulfill those times. From what I've heard up here in Canada a lot of depots have multiple trailers of items in queue. A pedal I ordered sat in montreal for almost 2 weeks before it was processed and made its way to Toronto.

While reading up on the policy for late deliveries it seems that carriers have evoked the "Act of god" clause and claim due to COVID they will not honor delivery date deadlines and so are off the hook for any refunds due otherwise.

The future will need more, better carriers. Too bad its such a tough industry to break into.
 
It’s just as bad up here! 2 day shipping via Canada Post xpresspost is actually 10 days now. Took that long to get to me from a place less than 2 hours away.
