I have a couple, but haven't played them in a while. I recently dusted one off and plugged in. I forgot how much fun it could be. With the right amount of distortion you can get a really interesting dynamic from old style thrash metal riffs.

It's kind of a shitty picture, but here's one I built for myself a good while back.

Here's my other one I built

Just out of curiosity I bough 12-string Dean Vendetta. I was surprised, that some thrash riffing sounds pretty good, ACDC style rock as well. Just finished playing 10 mins ago and now have found this thread :)

Playing some late White Zombie or Rob Zombie sounds pretty cool on a 12 string too. An old band I was in used to cover Dragula. I'd break out the 12 string for that one. It gives it more dynamics that can fill in for the technoish parts.

Buddy had one of the Rics with the funky tuning peg setup like this.

Was into early Genesis at the time so it was perfect. Classic 12 string here.

First song I played for my wife on our very first date. 🥰

Came close to buying one of these Danos from a local shop when I was in high school....fucking thing ruled
