squeezing peenies until they shit dollar bills?

i just recently bought my ibanez for $1,800 even. excellent deal new considering it retails $3,000.

bad part is now, i wasnt expecting the economy to go to shit, therefore causing my hours at work to go to nothing. therefore no money to pay for my classes.

i just registered for $400 worth of books and shit and i think im fucked financially.

hmm... 2nd job

What Ibanez costs $3000? Even my j custom was like $2000 (paid $1500 ;) )

the one thats in my sig

alder, not basswood like the earlier models. thats the reason i got it.

sam ash couldnt beat the price. was like $100 above store cost to the guy that worked the guitar section where i bought it.

they had it for just above 2,499.99 i believe. they "claimed" 2,999.99 was actual MSR

got it for like $1600 +tax, $1800 even

but besides the point. that really put me in a crunch. a bad one. i really dont want to sell that guitar but im thinking i might not have a choice

Just got my Randall RM100 back. I'm thinking I might have to sell it to put it with my refund check to by a high mileage car. I drive 100 miles round trip a day in my truck and its killing me. Man, I really like that head.

My 2000 Jeep is about to die, I still have to pay for a little studio time to mix and master my cd, I may have to pay for reproduction myself, my wife's computer is about to die, and I just bought a sigx. I do have money in savings, but I was hoping to not have to dip into it. Now I'm not going to have a choice.

I'm absolutely screwed for money right now. We've had our hours cut to 32's for about 2 months now, but sometimes it's less. We're behind on all our bills and I'm at the point where i'll probably be posting my Cameron for sale today. Life sucks for me right now.

Oh yeah, and our tortion spring on our garage door broke last week. I have no money to fix it. I'm just waiting for a couple more things to take a shit, seeing as everything happens in 3's.  :aww:

They haven't made 777s since the 80s  Did you mean UV 777, or Jem 7VWH, or 77BK? Still, none of those cost $3000 either. The only Jem I could see costing that much is a 10th anniversary or a DNA (in which case $3000 would be a steal)

fwiw they must have documented it wrong then. i was told 777, but it very well could be a 7VWH

i almost got a black. almost...

and no - the MSR was claimed to be 3g's not the actual cost.

the sale price, as i will say one more time, was $2499.99 new

i got it for like $100 above cost for the store and still made it under $1800 tax and all. a steal? no. a deal? hell yeah.

i looked at my confermation receipt and all it says is jem white. nothing else. the owners manual is universal with all jem's. so its not like its documented in there as well.

only thing i really know to do would be to contact ibanez with the serial number on the neck and get the full info.

but fwiw, i believe jem7VWH makes sense. time for a sig change.

and yeah times are hard right now. ive got no money for classes lol, i set up a payment plan for my summer class yesterday. DOH.

What? squeezing penis?

no.

stroking? yes.

I am looking for shit to buy, but I already have everything that's awesome/

If he got one with the Alder body and Ebony board...he did well, especially if it was 'NOS' condition....if it was used, he got jacked...maybe he still did, since I think they stopped making them that way a looong time ago.

MSRP on the new 7VWH's is $2999 I believe, putting street around $2100? $1600 is a not too shabby.

I'm guessing it's 7VWH since he commented about almost getting one in black and there is a black one of those now....odd coz I think the black one is basswood and the white is Alder..but could be wrong.

alder and rosewood.

i LOVE a very nicely sanded and polished with good old elbow grease maple neck. they're so fast.

but as long as you keep rosewood fretboards oiled they can be as fast as maple boards.

and i didnt know the black only came in basswood. BUT albeit the early models of the white i do know are basswood. thats the only option that was given. but they made the switch to alder in 2002 without anyone knowing. i did alot of research to make sure of this, since i already own a basswood wolfy and was looking for that rock n roll based wood.

and yes it was brand new. manufactured in february of 2007, i bought it roughly 9 months later mint with the original cardboard box and case and still not set up - just as it came from the factory.

i think i came out well.... still working on the maple neck behind it. taking 0000 steel whool and lemon oil to the back of the neck every string change to get it polished up smooth and taking that gawdy clearcoat off of it.

as for the fretboard i oil it with a rag every-so-often when i wipe the strings clean before it gets cased :D
