I see only good things about Suhr guitars. Anyone ever had anything bad to say about them? Anyone ever bought one and decided "eh its not really all I expected" Any bad points to them? The closest negative point of a Suhr that I have ever heard was that they don't have a non trem model. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on one and I have nothing to grip about them myself from what limited numbers I have tried out. Just about every other guitar you can find people that have issues with them in one respect or another.

Its like any other custom order guitar if you know what you want and like then you will be in heaven and will be amazed! But some don’t do enough research and didn’t like the wood combinations or something that’s the only complaint I’ve ever seen never about the sound playability or quality, always a preference thing.

I keep trying and buying 'em, but they've all been perfect. Damn. ;)

Yeah make sure you know what you want before you spec.

Suhr Guitars sound much more CLEAR than others, and sometimes that
can freak people out. Once you get used to that, it's awesome. They
sound so balanced when recorded as well.

I did kinda notice that as well. Wasn't expecting as crisp and clear of a sound from basswood. At least form the 3 or 4 that I have played.

Suhr instruments are all exceptional- they are SERIOUS about quality. So the closest thing you'll probably ever hear to a negative comment is if someone orders one that has a neck shape that they realize isn't their bag, or something like that- but you'll never hear a report of say, a guitar arriving with some finish irregularity or poorly dressed frets- because those guys just won't send a guitar out unless it's as near to perfect as you can get.

It's a great company.

That is all around the impression I get.
In the end I did end up buying a Suhr a few days ago.

Well, I did order a Modern and sold it. But I can't say I wasn't happy with it. I missed it the second I shipped it off. But I did realize that I preferred a 16" radius than the 10"-14" on the one I sold. So I ordered the same guitar with different radius and color.

I got my Suhr delivered today. It was one of those things were you are:
happy to get the guitar from the UPS guy and its in one piece with no damage
happier once you take it out of the case and see how much better it looks in person than pics,
and then you start to laugh because you are blown away by it once you plug in and start to play.

I made a good decision on getting a Suhr. no two ways about it.
