It's related enough to this section: Sounds legit. Alot of scratch though.

I call Bull Shit... Rumored is the perfect fraise to create a stir without proving anything!... I could Say My amp was Rumored to have been owned by George Lynch, etc.

One thing is for sure... That price is not rumored to be high... IT IS! And without documentation, and a personal inspection I wouldn't pay more than $1,600 ~ $1,800

I agree. It is rumored to be one of Eddies amps. There is a period after that statement.. He is saying it is definitely an original Jose mod. It would be cool to own if it were legit. Just thought I would share that. I really hope Mark gets things rolling. As soon as the lead times come down I want a CCV. I am just no good with the waiting and hanging in the wind with faith game. Regardless that it comes through, which I am sure it would. I am just not comfortable in that kind of situation. I beleive in a higher power, but I don't like to excercise my faith for an amplifier.

Sounds like nonsense. In this economy amps are selling cheap and slow. Asking three times it's value is crazy. Who knows ? There is plenty of money and collectors around here.

Lets forget the Van Halen aspect, what would a real Jose go for? 3k-3500 tops with all those mods and documentation?

I am asking because I dont really know... I will wait for my camerons.

Come on guys... this guys knows his shit!!! He knows that Jose modded amps for MATALLICA and PETER FRAMTON... so he's got to be legit... does he take food stamps?

"up for sale Marshall head 100w, has 50w/100w switch, 2 fx loops, extra pre for gain, both channels have push/pull pots for gain, presence knob on the back, and attenuator master vol, blend both channels at the same time. this thing rocks. rumored to be one of Eddie Vanhalens gigging amps. modified by Jose Arredondo, who was the most sought after tone guru in LA in the '80s. and died in the '90s. I have a 1983 calender on the back is a layout of the amp hand written by jose and three pics of his shop with the amp in L.A. called ARCCO . HE MODDED AMPS FOR MATALLICA, RATT, PETER FRAMTON
MOTLEY CRUE, STEVE VAI, ..............concreteplanet@gmail.com"

 Not sure what this mystery guys knows ?
But he don't know spelling!
See the metallica spelling.
Give me a break.
This amp has been listed many times before.
Same approach and this time like all the others........... Not legit!

Thread officially dead. Thanks Hollywood. Leave it to you to ruin a Kia. :rawk:

meh my cameron plexi will eat that amp for breakfast.... End of Discussion.

Jose's work was cool , but you know what ? HONESTLY?

Mark's work is better.... he took some of Jose's ideas, along with his own and made them better.... it would be cool to own a real Jose though just for the history and etc...

not to mention, most of jose's stuff was noisy as hell.

I did own a amp that was owned by George Lynch. ;)
Marshall Law owns it now.
Bad ass Small box Jim Wigl Purplexi.
I paid 2K for it when I got it. But tons of pics of Lynch came with it for documentation.
Well worth it since I am a die hard Lynch fan. It was Cameron Modded at the time I got.
Now its a Friedman Kitchen Sink Metal machine!!
