Late 60s very early 70s and Detroit (Flint) was all about these guys for me.

I was living in Clawson and just transferred to the Middle School 7th Grade..time frame vague now 1974?...but we went over to the HS Auditorium where Rare Earth played a couple tunes for us.

I'd been listening to FM rock and my Dad had bought Sabbath Vol 4 ...I was hooked!!!
