Seems like a killer deal over on TGP for a FTR37. Been interested in picking that up after I move some gear :) Anyone else try one out or own a /13 amp? The cleans on it sound so good.

Never played one, but a store in Mass. has one. It's a single channel for around $4000. I'd have to REALLY like an amp to pay that much. What's the story on these amps? What do they do so well to warrent that $ ?

No clue, but the clean channel is one of the best I have heard! I tried one out a few years ago at Wild West Guitars in Riverside and man that thing was sweet, until I looked at the price tag

Divide your money in half if you buy new and want to sell it

I found one on TGP that I am going to jump on.

$2550 for FTR37 Head/2x12Cab/Switchazel Pedal

Seems like a deal that can't go wrong if I want to resell

That's a good deal for that setup - you'll break even if you decide to sell.

They are great amps, I've owned a couple RSA23's.....They sound killer, they are very loud and need to get up in some volume to sing. The LDW and JJN are very Marshallish and have great master volumes (the FTR and RSA are non master volume...)

The D13's all have a unique tone signature, very much like the Bogner stuff.

The owner of the company needs lessons in manners. If you are not a semi rock star uber studio kingpin, your opinion and time are not worth a millisecond of his time. Ask Jason Wallis about his experience. One of the few times I ever sold an amp because I didn't want to deal with the owner of the company if / when I had questions or needed something. There are waaaaay too many killer builders out there who deliver exceptional products that do the same things, who are beyond gracious that you own one of their products...those guys get my business. You will dig the FTR though - congratulations on a sweet deal.

Cool thanks for the input!

The last time I played one I really liked it, I just couldn't warrant that huge ass price tag thrown on it. But yeah like you said for 37 watts, this thing is freakishly loud! Even in half mode its loud! Reason I had no problem jumping on a non-MV amp is I am actually going to start coming home before the sun goes down next week. April 15 is only a few days away!! :D

Very sweet amp! Still own one although it doesn't see much action. As others said, it is very loud. Had to run an Airbrake on the click channel to keep from getting shot by soundmen and bandmates. It takes pedals really well. Looks like a great deal. Good luck with it!
