I've been buying pedals to put a pedalboard together and I've seen this vp4 it looks very convenient. I'd just like to get some opinions to see who's tried it or who is using it? What do you like and what do you dislike about it? Thanks in advance and I do know there's threads from other forums but I respect the opinion of all of you guys better than all the other forms put together!🤘

I had one for a while, really killer unit.

Pros: amazing fractal effects with lots of tweak-ability. Dead simple to use.

Cons: block limitations if you plan on elaborate setups it’s not gonna get you there. Mono in 4 cable method, no bother to me but can imagine it’s a bummer for most.

I'm super interested as well Greg.
Thinking of heading down AxFx rabbit hole this year.
This was a good read.

The simple to use is right up my alley, I've tried several fractal products and they were way above my little brain. I really won't use more than a few effects at one time so that doesn't bother me only for can be used at once.

A used fm3 will be cheaper and have exponentially more features and options (and amp models lol)

amazing in 4cm. Noise gate at the input and a eq and the tail and any 4 fx you want. Tap a button to go from presets to individual fx on/off is a nice touch. I’m a rock/metal guy so I’m not using more than 4 fx at a time anyways. My only complaint is I wish it had more outputs for a w/d/w setup or stereo setups.

I have 2 of them and have had them since they were first released. Fantastic units! Great FX! Easy to navigate and adjust on the fly wherever you are playing. I don't need amp models and thus, this fit the bill perfectly.

Another quick question are the humbuster cables a must to use or will regular guitar cables work just fine?

Fantastic unit for basic live rig in 4CM and best price/size/quality unit on market. EQs, comps and noise gates are outstanding , ditto delays, reverbs and modulation.
Humbusters are not supported and not needed, because external power adapter.
Fm3 has noise issues with 4cm and worse conventors to VP4/FM9/FX3.

I just pulled the trigger if anybody's looking for some pedals I've got a bunch for sale LOL I'll make you a deal if you buy them all together!
