Anyone know the history on Celestion G12-50 Speakers? I've never heard of them....

I see not too many people have come across these in the wild...............................
I guess these kind of sound like a cross of a V30 and 12G65 by some descriptions......
A friend of mine just got a Marshall 1960 cabinet with UK 12T75's and these 12GS50's UK made from the 80's.
I'm still waiting to hear what he thinks of them...............he got the cabinet for a song though!
Urban legend says Cannibal Corpse used to use this speaker combination back in the 90's.
