The Cycle of Suffering. Gave it a go last week and I can’t stop listening to it! It’s got killer riffs all over the thing. It’s also refreshing that they are not in super low tunings.

Anyone know if Sylosis are still using Gower modded Marshalls? The tone is not over gained and just really really percussive. I love it!

Cheers

I know Josh still has one. I love the new release. I'll ask him next time I speak to him.

Shit, it's out?

Love, love LOVE Sylosis. Conclusion of an Age ranks among my favorite albums of all time and gets regular play. Riff factory should be stamped on every album. Some of the most brutal standard tuned metal you'll ever hear.

I'll need to get this one picked up sooner rather than later.

I think he used a 5150 on this. I could be wrong but someone was posting a vid where he talked about what he used. I would love to try Gower's Sylosis mod though.

The rhythm channel of a 6505+ with the mids on 1...I’ll be honest I didn’t see that coming! Sounds brilliant on this album!

Cheers for the info!

I didn't care for it. Every song sounded the same, same riffs, etc. Wasn't real strong.

+1

I wish they'd get that vocalist back in the band - Josh is handling the vocal duties pretty well but I feel like he could really cut loose on guitar more when they had the dedicated vocalist. Plus that vocalist's voice was amazing.

Conclusion of an Age is an incredible album from start to finish

Wonder what ever happened that made them part ways

Still haven't jammed the newest album yet

That doesn't really seem strange for those amps to me. Especially with a boost and thru V30's, those amps can get honky REALLY fast.

Yeah, a fiddy of any sort with mids on 1 will still have more mids than most other amps not designed around a similar all mids all the time philosophy. Boost it with a mid enhancer and you can just break the mids knob off turning it down and forget about it.

We mustve watched the same vid recently about the 5150 usage.

The sylosis mod is a high gain jose variant. I had talked to Dan about getting this mod done a while back.
