I ordered a Fender HSS pickguard, and they changed their design or something.
I noticed this:

All their 2008 guitars with a humbucker in the bridge have the 2 screw thing, and so do the replacement OEM pickguards.

Now I have to hunt for a NOS Fender pickguard

That sucks, can you get one from Warmouth?

i was trying to go stock :(
I have 2 WDs, 1 Warmoth and one from Stewmac...they never are 100% at the bridge (there is always a gap somewhere) and the Hum cutout is too square. Fender are rounded

Yep those 2 screw holes are stupid, I just drilled a hole between those 2, then F'd it up and bought a new one. I was lucky to find one at GC, pearloid with just 1 screw on each side in HSS config, crap costed like $50

Mine Warmouth SSH pickguard fits great, rounded humbucker hole, no gaps. I am sure someone has the old pickguard for sale....

I might give them another try.
I told the store to keep the one they ordered

Yeah, my HSS/Floyd MIM Strat has that same dumb deal.

Also, when I went to slap a Warmoth neck in it.. which was the whole point of me buying the guitar... the pickguard kept the neck from fitting, due to the 22 fret overhang board.

I never bolted the thing back together....boo.

IIRC, Fender branded HB's and axes with them loaded in have been this way for quite some time...

My HWYOne Strat has that as well. I put a a SD in the bridge and had to drill a hole between the two, on the one side.

They're like that because the Fender stock Atomic/Enforcer etc.. humbuckers are now made with three adjustment screws.
