Some may differ and both are incredible but if I have both in my MOD...it is hard to tell which is which if I tweak them out the same. My SL2 has the tight mod....not the 'x'.
I have the SL2x and the EG 3/4x at the same time and thought the Sl2x was a but more raw while the EG 3/4x smoother. I never tried to dial them in to sound the same though. They are pretty close. I kept the SL2x
The SL2 is smoother than the SL2X with a greater emphasis on the low mids...so it can sound very EG3/4X-ish. I know some disagree and some felt the EG3/4X is the best module of all...
