Anyone Running the M4 In The Loop Of Another Amp?

What kind of amp and how do you like the results?

Lately, I've had serious Mesa Mark IV/V gas. But I don't want to sell my M4 or Axe Fx. I can probably sell my VHT 2/50/2 and add some cash and get a used Mark IV head though. This way I can through the M4 in the loop of the Mark and have my cake and eat it to.

I'm on the verge of thinking my M4 sounds better through my pair of Eggy seminar head loops than it does through my 2150.

Actually, I think any preamp sounds FUCKING KILLER through the seminar head fx loop. :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock:

Its just gas it will pass. I have a Mesa Mk III and have spent hours dialing it in and just cant get what i use to luv out of it. I retubed it and tried yellow jackets and a new speaker. It all helped but after playing my M4 RT2/50 or Mod50/100 my mesa just sits there. I am getting ready to use it as a power amp for a horn on the Digitech rpm leslie sim but that is alot of cash just for that.

What im saying is after playing Egnater amps and pre amps I dont think you will find that you will enjoy another amp as well. Find one in a store and jam on it for awhile and spend your cash on another mod. I get more out of my Erect mod than the Mesa. It is kinda sad in away :aww: but the feeling and smile I get from Egnater makes it all go away. :D

As far as running the M4 through the return and use the mesa as a power amp, Nah I prefer the Mod50/100 or RT2/50.
 
After getting a RT2/50..my power amp gas is gone ;)

For me...it's one of the best power amps I've ever used. I did another A/B test a week ago...and my VHT 2/90/2 has been traded to stratotone ;)

I just plain LOVE that fucking power section. The VHTs were good...but at least the one I have...it has some serious mojo! :)

Thats why I have 2 :2thumbsup: and to think I got the 2nd one for $346 cause the preamp tube was bad. :D :lol: :LOL:
