I have a Plexi RI head, that sounds great, with all the EQ knobs full up. Tried it on my Renegade (channel 2 only, gain at about 2 oclock) sounds great, IMHO more punch and detail.

pretty close to how i run mine, all knobs at least 3/4 the way up, adjust a little to taste

Interesting.I didn't try that yet.But i guess it depends on the Presence/Density settings ?

yes you're right, I'm running the presence and Desity turned off. With my marshall I run the presence off too. This might change when playing out live? Really impressed with this amp.

Oh hell yeah, it sounds great like this! At lower volumes I have the density on all the way and just a touch if presence and it sounds very full, but tight. Love this amp!

thanks for the tip. that is one thing that i will for sure be looking for in this amp is plexi tone. i'll definitely be giving this a try.

I run the bass and middle all the way with treble/presence to taste on my '82 50, watt Marshall. I tried the same thing with my Renegade but found the Renegade's controls are more active than my 2204. To get a similar tone on the Renegade, I run the bass around 2 o'clock, the mids around 5 o'clock and the treble around noon. I do use the density and presence controls also. I keep the one switch on deep and the other either bright or normal depending on what guitar/speaker cab I'm using.
