interesting.... I guess this would be the "Vetta Preamp" + some extras.

hmmm....

Yea, I am.... I HATE Rectos and most everything else that emulates its tone, but for some reason, i LOVE the Treadplate model on this thing :D

It's got a killer tone, lots of them.

Yep, Still loving it, but I've always like the Vetta, not a big fan of MOST of Line6s stuff, but The Vetta is a KILLER amp.

Very cool, if that thing sounds as good as the Vetta, I'm sure I will totally dig it. Oh and +1 on the Treadplate model, not a big recto guy, but that model is killer!

Cool product .
BUt who the hell is their cosmetic design department .

why wouldn't they just keep with the color scheme and make the mic inputs black or grey or half and half like the rest of the chassis .

It looks cool, but I'm not a Line6 fan. I prefer actual tube tone to virtual tube tone.

Wow! That'd be perfect to use as a doorstop!

No offense bro, but if it ain't got tubes I can't roll with it!

the guy in my sig uses line 6 vetta head for the road through a single cab

youtube clips of it fucking rock

i wouldnt mind owning one. never played one though.. but id get it over a lynch box because everyone i know that owns one or has played one says it absolutely kicks ass AND its not a back breaker like a boutique tube burner AND its got way more versatility.

plus from what clean tones ive heard? way more silky than what im pulling right now. just pure awsome

;)

I listened to clips of the Newer pod on the website, some of them are very kewl, some of them still suck donkey.

I think my XT Pro and Rocktron power amp can put out some nice rockin`tones. The semiparametric eq is a godsend, though. I dialed in a smoking ....And Justice for all-sound the other day. Bone dry, not a lot of gain, lots of mids, except for 750hz, I took some of those out with the PEQ. I boosted the L6 treadplate model with a tube screamer, had the gain @ about 11 o clock, the amp eqs @ around 1 o clock (except for the bass, it was around noon. Into the Rocktron and into my Rivera 4x12. No cab models on, no noise gate on. The Velocity (250) is a little dark, so in order to get some of the "sizzle" back, I boosted 4khz with app. 4dBs. Fit like a glove :)

I`m glad I can get modellers to sound good to my ears, so I don`t have to spend money I don`t have on an amp that wasn`t designed for my kinda playing in the first place. (No band for me right now :()

Interesting. I will check one out.

I always try to keep an open mind ;)

I do think the cosmetics could have been done a little better.....

We used a POD X3 for the scratch tones before we reamped just this past week. In the full mix, the tones actually sounded REALLY nice. We were all surprised at how good they sounded compared to previous PODs.

my guitar teacher has a pod X3, and through a small amp it sounds pretty darn good.

also, i LOVE the spider valve  probably the amp ill get once some cash is in

Personally, i didn't like the spider valve all that much. The sound quality really isnt that good (IMO of course). I just don't feel like it is worth the money you pay. I would say the sound quality is on part with a $500 dollarish tube amp, but you pay like 700. But NO other amp has that kind of versatility for that price, and quite simply, unless you can find a used 5150 or something similar (XXX) you aren't (probably) going to get a descent metal tone for a price like that. I wouldn't say its exactly sterile, but i don't think its worth the price you pay...unless you're going to put that versatility to use.

I'm seriously thinking about this thing......would be awesome combination with the Axe-FX for my studio. Hmmm.......
