I read that Trace and Voodoo Amps made an appearance at the NAMM. Anyone see or hear anything from them?

I got to hang with Trace Briefly and talk for a bit... He didnt have a booth though....

I walked with Trace Staurday morning to NAMM, really cool guy to talk to. He had a amp in the Groove Tubes booth and another one somewhere by digisign.

They didn't have a booth due to a SNAFU in the app process, but they did have a V-Plex 50wt at the Groove Tubes booth.

Ya know whats Funny? I had met up with Trace several years ago to talk about some stuff and when we were at NAMM this year, Someone had pointed him out to me and I said"No way, thats not Trace, that guy has Tats up both arms" So I walk over to see If I can clandestinely look at his name tag and Trace is looking at me with this "Are you Ok?" look and sure enough, it was Trace...
Trace is a cool dude and its always a pleasure to hang/talk with him...

I think I bumped into him Friday midday at the show... the whole crew actually... I saw the shirts and had to stop and say hi. They modded my stuff a couple of years ago and it was great to see they honestly remembered me.
They're as nice in person as they are on the phone, Trace gave me his cell and we were all suppose to catch up for drinks after dinner, but as NAMM happens, we all ended up spread out by the time dinner past.

I wish I was more awake (still jet-lagged a bit--ha, ha) but It was great to meet you in person as well as to talk with you. We did have the 10 watt single ended 1x12 Witchdoctor in the Glyph Technologies booth and the 50 watt V-Plex in the Groove Tubes booth. We will have a booth at the next Winter NAMM even if we have to fax the application on the first hour of the first day they open begin accepting applications

Seriously, though, I was hoping they'd both have their new amp lines on display. That sucks that they got hosed.
Don't quote me on the exact date but we have signed up for the NY Amp Show and will most likely attend the LA Amp Show. The nice part about these shows is that it like NAMM in that manufactures are there however those shows are open to the public verses just the dealers.

It was the deer-in-head-lights look that confused me (just kidding my friend--ha, ha). I had thought you knew about the tattoos but perhaps I was wearing a long sleeve shirt the last time we hung out. I've had sleeve tattoos for several years now and unlike others I had each arm done at the same time verses having several tats and then tying them together into a sleeve (IE: each sleeve tells a story as they are oriental/Japanese oriented), sorry I digress (need some more coffee this morning (ha, ha)

He definitely doesn't look like what you envision when you talk to him over the phone, that's for sure! Hahaha... Trace = METAL. LOL! Or had his hair tucked up into his hat? Or has he cut it off yet?
Most usually expect a much older gentleman with white hair and while I do have some grey hairs popping up (ha, ha) I am not all grey yet but at present I still have long hair.

You didn't screw up at all, I think you were walking the convention center with some other guys (no worries at all).
I'll catch you either next year or at an ampfest!!
We'll catch up with one another at some point, until then be good my friend and keep up the tasty playing!
