Topic says it all!
I´m thinking about switching the bridge pickup on my Les Paul since I´ve found the Lundgren M6 to be a little to hard for me.
Tones I´m liking right now is Slipknot, In Flames and Metallica.

Rock on!

I´ve got one in my Sambora Strat and one in my Ibanez as a Neck PU.
I would like to equip all my guitars with that HB. :D

I haven't tried the Herbert with dimarzio yet. My guitars' bridge pickups are Seymour Duncan JB, Custom 5, and EMG 85.

In Flames and Metallica use the EMG 81. Slipknot uses SD I think, not quite sure. I think the Herbert is a little "sterile" when used with EMG loaded guitars...it takes away some of the "magic dynamics" that I think is so special about the Herbert. So to me it's a bit like driving a brand new Ferrari with 14" wheels if you catch my drift

I'm GASing for an Ibanez PGM301 now so I'll let you know if I get one how it sounds with the Herbert

Im playing my Fender jim root tele with the EMG 81/60 combo i think is what it is through my Einstein and thats really close to Slipknot. Have you ever considered going with Bareknuckles? I swapping out the EMG's for a BKP Painkiller/Miracle man set. I can also see where you think the M6 is a little too hot, those are crazy pickups.

What are BKP Painkiller/Miracle Man? Never heard of those
I know that both In Flames and Metallica uses EMG´s as their choice of pickups, but I actually don´t like EMG´s....especially with my Diezel. Had the VH4 before and the EMG´s just killed the tone.
I was at the Ibanez distributor here in Sweden some weeks ago and compared the Bareknuckles to the EMG´s and I was suprised because the EMG´s just sounded muffled and unclear in comparison. Anyone tried the Bareknuckles with the Diezels?

I have a bare knuckle miracleman in the bridge of my custom Electric Babe (http://www.electric-babes.net). It sounds insane... so different yet so better in most ways than my other guitar set ups. I feel you get the most from the amp with the Bare knuckles- they can handle the insane amounts of gain you throw at it on channel 3. Everything is much more defined, from the massive amounts of deep, to the ultra high end harmonic riches... so great for hardcore chug and metal, yet equally great for screaming solos... and let's not forget all the pinch stuff. bare Knuckle over EMG any day!! You will not be disappointed!! Cleans are good as well... not amazing, but what are you expecting with such a high output pickup?! The clean tone is so clean that it even manages to clean up this pickup and makes it sound pretty nice for some twangy things.

Hope this helps...

James

The bkp painkiller/miracle man setup im going with is a painkiller bridge and a miracle man neck pickup. Every clip ive heard from other BKP users has blown me away at how much better they sound compared to dimarzios and duncans.
