Anyone tried the Fane Lucifer 150 speaker ?

I find them fairly dark and midrange heavy. I’m still experimenting with them a bit but currently have them mixed with v30s in an emperor cab. It works well for some things, but it lacks the articulation of some of my other cabs. They do pair well with amps that are bright and have a lean low midrange though.

John brown’s video and IRs are spot on. I’d check those and if they interest you give the LCFR a shot.

Have you tried Redbacks? Wonder how they compare? Your description makes it seem like they might be similar

With the caveat that my redbacks are in KSR cab (much tighter) I think the redback has less midrange and more sizzle than the LCFR. But if Redbacks (or maybe even 80s-era Marshall Vintages) are your favorite Celestions, LCFR should be on your radar.

I’ll say for you that wizards do well with the LCFRs because they have no problem bringing the brightness!

iPhone in the room comparison of Mesa OS with 2003 v30s, KSR with Redbacks, Emperor with mix of LCFR and v30s. All 8 Ohm. Amp is a mk1 MTL.

I'm thinking that these would pair well with a pair of alnico EV SRO's in my 4x12, but the last thing I need is more speakers. And tbt I love the G12H-100's currently in that cab with the SRO's.

I like the RB the best… but some of the difference is the position of the iPhone vs placement of the cabs

Wonder if they'd be a good replacement for the two K100s in my Diezel FL cab. I think I've given them enough of a chance now.
