Anyone tried the Marshall 1960ax?

If so, what did you think of it?

I am not a big fan of Marshall cabs with 75's (except with a Powerball :P ), but this cab seems to be more like older Marshall cabs with greenies (which I do like).

Thanks!

I have a 1960ax and love it. It's all in the speakers, because I don't think there are any construction differences between the 1960ax and the regular 1960. I have played through the stock 1960 a bit, and don't like it at all/anywhere near as much.

Amps I've really liked (and put a fair amount of time on) through my cab - Splawn Competition, JCM800 2204 and 2205, DSL100, TSL60. I thought the 5150 sounded better through it than through a 1960a cab (for my sound). I also thought a Voodoo VReck sounded much better through that than through a Voodoo 412 w/g12t75s.

I guess part of it depends on what type of sound you're looking for. Greenbacks aren't very "thumpy" and have a strong midrange. I would guess they wouldn't sound that great for scooped stuff, because there isn't a lot of frequency response in the hi-highs and lows.
