Anyone use an Amp/Cab Switcher to mix their speakers across cabs?

I have a couple 212s that are stereo, so I'm thinking of using something like a KHE8x4 to be able to swap my speakers around on the fly...anyone every try this?

Basically each speaker will be cabled to the switcher like it's a 1x12 then I can use the switcher to select any 2 of my options below.
  • 212 A
    • Alnico Cream
    • Scumback M75
  • 212 B
    • V30
    • Weber California
Or will things sound weird if they're not in the same cab? Like if I wanted to run the Scumback with the V30

I use a radial cab link for my two 2x12s. It probably won’t sound weird if they’re not in the same cab, unless something is wrong. You’ll hear the other speaker better than if it was paired in the same cab.

I think it would probably sound fine. Much the same as just mixing two separate cabs. Except if you're only running one speaker at a time in the cabs, now you're mixing two oversized cabs. If each speaker sounds fine by itself, then I don't think it would be weird sounding when mixed. If it sounds boomy or something by itself due to cab size though, then that would probably come through. Try it and post the results.
