Or , have used them in the past ? I've been looking at an XL Randall cab with G12H-100's in them . I tried the cab out with a JVM (which I own) . The cab is a good price , straight cab stereo xlr eliminators dark/norm/bright switch . Looked like good options and I really liked the way the cab sounded even though the speakers werent broken in yet , The guy in the store let me crank it somewhat since it was close to closing time . I've read that they are what the GK-100's are now and the H-100's are discontinued . Rig-talk is the place I look for the best technical advice . I mostly lurk and read on what the general consensus people talk about here .Yea i've def learned a lot from everyones posts .

I guess im asking because I dont want to wind up with speakers that are in the Line 6 cab (gh-80) too flat for my taste . I didnt like mesa's c-90's either with the JVM .. V30's eeek to spikey for me . I heard a cameron cab over the weekend with GH-30's and liked it  .

Anyone have an opinion on Randall's cabinets build quality/sound quality ? I liked the way they sound but I always look for advice from people with experience on this .

Well i'm lookin at the randall cab (gh-100's) , or avatar w/ gk100 or gh-30's .

Thanks , all advice is highly appreciated !!

P.S. I play metal/ 80's rock/80s thrash

I have one in my randall rg80112sc combo that came stock with it as far as I know, and it sounds great

Cool .. how does it sound w plenty of gain ... and would you say its broken in ? how would you describe the way the speaker sounds in comparision to some of the other celestions ?

I don't really have much experience with speakers, so I can't compare. and I'd say its plenty broken in just judging by the age and shape of the amp

it sounds good with high gain to me. of course the randall needs to be boosted to get to tight high gain territory

Great speaker without that (sometimes) annoying sizzle in the high-mids / treble that's in a lot of other Celestions. Very round and mellow sounding. Great for bright amps

Giga.

g12k-100 user here.

the g12h-100 is the now discontinued earlier version of the speaker.

the only difference is that the voice coil is moved a little bit. and the g12k is supposed to have a little bit tighter bass.

i recently picked up a used pair of g12h-100 that are en route to me as we speak!

ok I see you and I are in the same line of thought ... I have a gk-100 1x12 enroute too !! Any pros con you clould list ? Thanx Fuzzy !!

Anyone have any opinions on Randall XL cabs and XLR Mic eliminators? Good or Junk?
