Anyone use this ACDC tab book?

Anyone use this ACDC tab book: "The Definitive AC/DC Songbook: Updated Edition"

??

Is this an accurate tab book or have you found errors?

Looking for an ACDC book. Thanks.
 
Havent seen the book. AC/DC songs arent that hard to figure out. Since they are easy songs I'd bet the book is acurate.
 
I got the "Plug me in" Song book by them. I really enjoy it. Used it quite a bit in the past to figure out little parts I thought I was playing right only to find out I wasnt. :lol: :LOL:
 
AC/DC at the note level is surprisingly more complicated than it seems. they use a lot of unusual voicings, and Malcom and Angus are often playing slightly different things. it's easy to get close to what they're playing but often hard to get the voicings exactly right -- like Mailman1971 says. and those voicings are part of their unique sound -- x355xx doesn't sound the same as x3x013.

OP, i've heard that previous AC/DC books didn't get a lot of the subtle bits right, but this one claims that errors have been fixed. i haven't seen it, but i too am interested if anyone has. google turned up this, which looks pretty well done:

yeah exactly.. when I study the guitar "gods" I use a mixture of tabs and my ear. I usually start with the TAB's and if something doesnt quite sound right then I'll trust my ear. I found a few mistakes in my VH book I have but not many. ACDC isnt necessarily as technically advanced as VH but I like having accurate TAB books to reference.

I think I'll place an order for one and see how it turns out. Looking for a Pink floyd dark side of the moon book too.

I never trust the internet for TABs - I have YET to come across an accurate TAB that I got off the internet. It's a total waste of time looking on user made TAB's for people like VH, etc. They're so inaccurate you never learn anything from them.. I stick with books and guitar magazines (they're usually pretty accurate from what I've found).
 
Reminds me of an interview of Angus I once read. The interviewer mentioned how so many people claim Hells Bells in played in the open position. Angus replied, " I guess I've been playing it wrong all this time then." LOL.

Exactly.....if Joe Smith from Kansas (who has been a big AC/DC fan all his life....has all their CD's and been playing guitar for 20 years says its played open) then what the hell does Angus know?

What dark side of the moon tab books do you guys use? Theres one by "Music Sales America" and one by "Hal Leonard" .. Not sure if there's a big difference in tab accuracy?
